Dog & Cat Boarding Kennel for Arlington, Mansfield & DFW Metroplex

home pet sitter dangersFor over 40 years, since 1972, we’ve worked hard to make Country Acres Kennels the premier dog boarding and training facility in the country. Luckily for you and your pet, we are near by — conveniently located in Arlington, Texas, near Mansfield (between I-20 & US 287 on Cooper Street).

We’ve built a first class facility that is one of the largest in the United States — one where your pet will not only receive the best care, but will be pampered. In fact, the only downside is they may beg to come back!

We have everything on-site to insure the very best care for your pet. Some pet owners assume that boarding their dog or cat with a veterinary clinic is a good idea, because a doctor is nearby. However, so are other sick dogs and cats! We advise pet owners NOT to put your dog or cat in a boarding facility with sick animals unless your pet is already sick and needs the attention of a veterinarian.

Whether your pets need care for the weekend, or while you are on vacation — or even for several months, during a move — we provide the space, care and activities your pets need. We have large indoor and outdoor runs for dogs. Cats enjoy the privacy of a separate cat room. We also board Birds and Exotic Pets.

Our boarding includes individual loving care, large indoor and outdoor runs, pools and play yards, reasonable rates, and convenient hours (we’re open 7 days a week).

Unlike other boarding facilities in a strip shopping center or a converted grocery store we are a real Kennel with acres of dog parks and play yards. Your dog does not need to sit in a little cage all day while you are at work. He/she can be running and playing with other dogs and having fun while waiting to be picked up.

We even offer a limousine service, for pets accustomed to luxury.

We are a “Green Grass” facility!

Before leaving your pet anywhere, insist on seeing where he or she will stay. Once your pet visits with us, they may not want to come home!

Biscuit's First Day Care

Biscuit loves the teachers and all his little furry friends!

My Yorkie (Biscuit) has been attending the doggy daycare at Country Ares for about 6 months. Biscuit loves the teachers and all his little furry friends! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this facility if you are looking for quality care for your dog! It's been a great experience for both my dog and me!

The Dangers of Home-Based Dog Sitting Services Like Rover and DogVacay

You’ve probably seen the trend — websites that connect you with people offering up their property and services for what’s called the “sharing economy.” While we reserve no judgment for anyone who wants to rent their couch to a stranger, we have to ask: what about those turning their homes into dog kennels for the […]

Behavior Myth 1: Dogs Are Little People

Our New Series on Pet Behavior Myths… anthropomorphism | ˌanTHrəpəˈmôrfizəm | (noun): the attribution of human characteristics or behavior to an animal. In the well-meaning attempt to provide our dogs loving care, we commonly treat them as “little people.” While we should recognize our pets as living beings worthy of respect and love, we mustn’t […]

Do As I Say, Not As I Do…

My wife and I travel quite often for both business and pleasure. When our two Border Collies cannot accompany us, they get to stay in the kennel (Country Acres Kennels) like everybody else. Recently, I was in the hospital for five days and my wife, Jennie, stayed there with me. While in the hospital, Cooper […]
