SOCIALIZATION TRAINING PACKAGE
Socialization with other dogs is an important part of proper obedience training and since dogs are pack animals they have fun playing with other dogs. Dogs that are currently enrolled in and attending any of the weekly training classes are eligible for and encouraged to avail themselves of the Kennel socialization program. Dogs not currently enrolled in a training program are not eligible for this program.
Dogs can be dropped off at the Kennel anytime after 7 AM and picked up anytime before 7PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Dogs are placed in play groups according to age and size. Most probably they will be in a group with other dogs they attend class with.

Socialization accomplishes several things:
1. Teaches dogs to play and have fun
2. Gets dogs out of their home environment and helps build confidence
3. Helps control and/or eliminate separation anxiety
4. Gives owners some time off
5. Provides good exercise and physical conditioning

This program is designed for dogs in training and as an adjunct to training classes. The package
includes 10 socialization/play days at the Kennel at a substantially reduced cost compared to regular
Day-Care. Dogs may continue to participate in this program as long as they are in training and
attending weekly training classes. Once dogs are no longer in training the regular DayCare programs
and prices are in effect.
All dogs in training should participate in at least one month of socialization regardless of which level of training they are working on. Over the years we have had tremendous success with this program taking dogs that were out of control and making them controllable. Dogs in extended play groups are taught by the other dogs how to behave correctly This then carries over to everything else. The training staff monitors all play groups and make any necessary corrections.
